• About Coral
    The red coral lives forming tree-like colonies with irregular shape branches inside the deep sea.Red corals can be found around the western Mediterranean Sea and pacific ocean . It has a calcium skeleton which is the basic structure of the red coral. It is formed by deposition of calcium on it. They occur in colony .So Red coral is formed by two types of polyps, the ones with tentacles(in charge of feeding) and other ones, similar to tiny tubes, which are in charge of keeping water flowing through a pipeline system inside of the colony. Coral has been used for ages. It has been found to be used in the ancient hindu culture for various astrological purposes.
